Docket Task Manager is designed to help you manage your tasks created during your meetings. When you are assigned a task, you can view the task in your My Tasks panel in the upper right corner of your Docket meeting workspace.
This article will cover the following:
My Tasks displays in the upper right corner of your Docket meeting workspace and includes a count of tasks that are in an incomplete status.
Your task counter will immediately increase the task count when a task has been assigned to you in a meeting. It will decrease when your task has been marked "complete," changed to a different assignee, or when your task is deleted from the meeting note it originated from.
The Task Manager enables you to see tasks in several different views. All tasks are sorted from top to bottom by the most recent due. Any tasks created that do not have a due date will be marked as, "Set Date" and sort at the bottom of the task list.
This view displays any tasks assigned to you that are currently not marked complete. You can mark them complete directly in the Task Manager panel or click on the task and navigate to the task's specific meeting and mark it complete in the meeting notes. Either way, the task will reflect the status change to complete in both the meeting and the Task Manager panel.
When viewing the task in the Task Manager panel, when you mark it complete, the task will be checked and will disappear. You can review it on the Complete Tasks view.
The Complete Tasks view displays any tasks that have been check marked as complete. You can mark them incomplete directly in the Task Manager panel or click on the task and get to the meeting and mark it incomplete in the meeting. Either way, the task will reflect the status change to incomplete in both the meeting and the Task Manager panel.
When viewing the task in the Task Manager panel, when you mark it "incomplete," the task will be checked and will disappear. You can review it on the Incomplete Tasks view.
This view shows you all tasks, both incomplete and complete. You can still control changing their status directly in this view or click on a task to navigate to the meeting it originated from and change the status there.
When viewing the task in the Task Manager panel, when you change the status to complete or incomplete, the task will be checked and will remain, unlike the other views, because this view shows the tasks regardless of status.
Task Meeting Content
When viewing a task in the Task Manager panel, you may want additional context on the task. Viewing the task in the meeting it originated from can give you the additional information you are looking for. You can hover over the task and view a tool tip for the meeting title and date or click the task and jump straight to the meeting.
Modifying a Task or Assign a Due Date
To change the task or due date, click the task from the Task Manager panel which will take you to the meeting it originated from. Once there, you can modify an incomplete task text and add or modify the due date. This change will be immediately reflected on your Task Manager task list.
Tasks on Your Daily Digest
When you have tasks due today, these will display at the bottom of your Daily Digest.
You can click on any task directly from your Daily Digest and it will take you to the meeting for more context, to edit the content or due date, or to mark the task complete.
